Terms of Service

The agreement between you and imPrintX. Plain language on purpose — if something here is unclear, ask before you buy rather than after.

Who you are agreeing with

imPrintX is built and run from The Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

“We” and “us” below mean the person who operates imPrintX; “you” means whoever holds the account. Reach us at ixsupport@smartimprint.co.

What imPrintX is

imPrintX is a low-voltage and AV design tool. You upload floor plans, place devices, and export drawings and reports. It is a drafting aid: the drawings you produce are yours, and so is responsibility for them.

Nothing imPrintX produces is a substitute for a licensed designer or engineer, and nothing it suggests — device placement, cable runs, coverage estimates, code references — has been reviewed for compliance with the codes that apply to your job. Check the work before you build from it.

Your account

You need an account to save work to the cloud. Keep your password to yourself; anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.

One account is one person. Plans that include several seats say so explicitly, and each seat is still one person.

What you own

Your drawings, plans, uploaded PDFs and project data remain yours. We claim no ownership of them and do not sell them, share them, or use them to train anything. We store and process them for the sole purpose of running the service for you.

imPrintX itself — the software, its interface and its content — remains ours. Your subscription buys the right to use it, not to copy or resell it.

Paying

imPrintX is paid for in Bitcoin only. There is no card payment. Prices are quoted in US dollars and converted at checkout, where the rate is held for a short window; pay inside that window and the dollar price is exactly what you were quoted.

  • Every purchase is a discrete prepaid term. Nothing renews automatically, because Bitcoin cannot pull a payment — only you can send one.
  • Because nothing auto-renews, you will never be charged unexpectedly, and there is no subscription to cancel. If you want to stop, simply do not renew.
  • When a term ends there is a grace period before paid features are withdrawn, so a forgotten renewal does not interrupt work mid-job.
  • Payments confirm on the Bitcoin network, typically within 10 to 30 minutes. Your account unlocks automatically once confirmed.

The payment guide walks through all of this step by step, including what to do if your exchange holds a new account's first withdrawal.

Tax

Prices shown are in US dollars. Where Bahamian Value Added Tax applies to your purchase, the amount you are quoted at checkout is the amount you pay — we do not add tax on top of a figure you have already agreed.

If you need a VAT invoice for your own records, ask and we will provide one. Any tax due in your own country on a purchase from abroad is yours to handle; we have no way of knowing what applies where you are.

Refunds

Bitcoin payments cannot be reversed by us once they have confirmed on the network — this is a property of Bitcoin, not a policy choice. That means we handle refunds by sending coins back or by crediting your account, and we can only do that after the original payment has confirmed.

  • If you overpay an invoice, we refund the difference to the address you paid from, or credit it against your next term — whichever you prefer.
  • If you paid for the wrong plan or term by mistake, get in touch and we will put it right.
  • If the service is unusable because of a fault on our side, get in touch and we will make it good, whether by credit or by refund.
  • We do not offer refunds for unused time on a term you simply stopped using. Nothing auto-renews, so no term starts without you sending a payment for it.

Anything not covered here, ask. We would rather talk it through than have you feel stuck with something you did not intend to buy.

Acceptable use

Do not use imPrintX to break the law, to store material you have no right to, or to attack the service or other users. Do not attempt to bypass paid limits, access accounts that are not yours, or resell access.

We may suspend an account that does these things. Where the situation allows it, we will tell you what happened and give you the chance to put it right and to retrieve your work.

Availability

We aim to keep imPrintX running and your data intact, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Hosting, networks and third-party services fail sometimes. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose — exporting a finished drawing is the sensible habit.

Liability

imPrintX is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

We are not liable for work built from a drawing that was not checked, for lost profits, or for data you did not keep a copy of.

Changes and closing your account

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will say so rather than quietly changing the date. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

You can stop using imPrintX whenever you like — there is no subscription to cancel. Ask us if you want your account and its data deleted, and we will do it.

Your data

How we handle your personal data, what leaves The Bahamas and what rights you have over it are set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas, and any dispute arising out of them is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

If you are a consumer in a country whose law gives you rights that cannot be signed away, nothing here takes those rights from you — this clause sets where a dispute is heard, not which protections you keep.

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

Getting in touch

Questions about any of this, or about a payment, go to the support chat on the payment guide or write to ixsupport@smartimprint.co. A person reads it.
