Hold Space to pan
The most useful one and the least advertised: hold Space and drag to pan from inside any tool, then let go and carry on drawing. You never lose the tool you were using.
Escape gets you out of anything
It cancels the run you are drawing, closes the panel that is open, and clears the selection — in that order.
Press ? in the app
The same list is a keypress away while you are working, and the Help button at the bottom of the left rail opens it too.
