  1. Hold Space to pan

    The most useful one and the least advertised: hold Space and drag to pan from inside any tool, then let go and carry on drawing. You never lose the tool you were using.

  2. Escape gets you out of anything

    First it closes the right-click menu or the History panel if one is open. Otherwise it clears the selection and returns you to Select — and a wall, roof or cable run you were drawing is KEPT as far as you had got (⌘Z removes it; a run with no bend yet is only a click and goes), while a zone, shape or measurement you were halfway through is dropped.

  3. Press ? in the app

    The same list is a keypress away while you are working, and the Help button at the bottom of the left rail opens it too — with a link to this help centre.
